Dr. Amy Pelphrey – Veterinarian
With Blue Sky since: 01/18/2002
Education: Colorado State University
Dr. Amy Pelphrey earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2001 from Colorado State University at the top of her class, and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994. While at CSU, she worked on an NIH program to help better understand and treat cancer in dogs. Since 2002, she has been happy to be a part of the skilled, caring staff at Blue Sky Animal Clinic!
She lives west of Berthoud with her husband, Mike; sons, Daniel, Matthew, and David; five cats – Zeus, McCavity, Gus, Santiago, and Queequeg; and two dogs – Mulligan and Nigel. She loves the challenge of medicine and the rewards of working with animals and people. She also enjoys books, travel, good wine, hammocks, gardening, shared experiences with her kids, more books, snuggling with animals, and the outdoors.
Currently, Dr. Pelphrey’s appointment days are greatly reduced as she is now teaching at CSU and medical director at Blue Sky.
